Oryukdo Skywalk is a viewpoint at the end of a coastal cliff where you can easily frame the sea and Oryukdo together.
The long deck stretching over a glass floor, waves breaking below, and the silhouettes of distant islands all fit into the frame, making it a good spot for both landscape and portrait photography.
With an especially open view toward the sea, you can neatly capture Busan’s distinctive coastal scenery.
At Oryukdo Skywalk, the view opens toward the sea and Oryukdo, so the morning light brings out the island contours and texture of the water clearly. The route is often visited together with Haemaji Park, and on a clear day, the early hours are worth trying for clean, airy shots. Around sunset, the contrast between the cliffs and deck softens, making atmospheric silhouette compositions easier to capture. Weather and sea mist can have a strong impact, so the detail of the distant islands varies with visibility on site.
From the front deck, use the lines of the glass floor as your foreground and place Oryukdo in the center or slightly to one side to make the location clear. If you include a person, place them midway along the deck rather than at the edge, so the depth of the sea and cliffs feels more natural. From the walkway to the side, you can capture the entire skywalk at an angle, which works well for exterior shots showing both the structure and the coastal cliffs. On days with strong waves, include a little more of the rocks and water below to bring out the atmosphere of the site.
