Cheonghak Waterside Park is a small waterfront park beside the sea on Yeongdo, and many photographers visit because it is easy to capture Busan Harbor Bridge and the port in one frame. The park is not very large, but its open views suit city nightscapes and waterfront snapshots better than casual walking shots. It is especially well known as a spot for photographing Busan Harbor Bridge at night, so you can get clear photographic results even during a short visit.
With an open view toward the sea and bridge, the atmosphere comes alive from around sunset through blue hour. Once it is fully dark, the lights of Busan Harbor Bridge and the harbor become the main subjects. Just after sunset, color remains in the sky, making it easy to balance the bridge silhouette with its reflection on the water. Daylight can feel flat here, so evening is a better fit when you are aiming for color and atmosphere.
Stand at the edge of the park facing the sea, and frame Busan Harbor Bridge so it runs across the image to show the character of this place clearly. Include a little of the railing or waterside line in the foreground to create depth, then keep the bridge and harbor lights simple for a clean night-snapshot feel. Rather than shooting too wide, combine one side of the bridge with its reflection in the ripples and compress the frame for a more densely composed shot. When the park is busy, use the flow of the promenade as a side line and include people small in the frame.
