Busan Tower is a landmark with an observation deck standing at the heart of Yongdusan Park, making it easy to capture both the tower itself and city scenes viewed from above in one place.
With the streets of Nampo-dong and Gwangbok-dong nearby, you can cover travel snapshots, urban night scenes, and commemorative photos in one visit.
The views keep opening up along the park’s walking paths, so you can find photo spots easily even on a casual visit.
The light is most consistently manageable from around sunset through blue hour. When traces of sunset remain in the western sky, you can frame Busan Tower’s exterior together with the park’s silhouette, and as it gets a little darker, the lights around Nampo-dong come clearly alive from the observatory. In the middle of the day, strong light can increase ground reflections and contrast, so when photographing the tower head-on, overcast conditions or later afternoon are easier to work with.
For a full view of Busan Tower, step slightly back on the path in Yongdusan Park and look up to keep the vertical lines in order. Include a little of the trees or stairs in the foreground to bring out the sense of scale. From the observatory, a wide composition facing Nampodong’s streets and the harbor is the basic approach. Rather than standing too close to the window, step back once to reduce reflections. In the park, include the octagonal pavilion or pedestrian flow and place the tower in the center to naturally organize the travel atmosphere.
