Photographs taken on rainy days often capture a subtle “sound.” The raindrops on umbrellas, the scent of wet asphalt, the trails of droplets on windows. Light diffuses, contrast softens, and the contours of the city quietly dissolve.
In Japan, the rainy season is just beginning. Precisely because sunny days are rare, the textures of daily life become more pronounced during the rain. Reflections in puddles, blurred neon lights, the sheen of wet leaves, the glow on train platforms—rain offers us a new way of seeing the world.
With this in mind, we are launching a hashtag campaign with #rain!
Share your creations with #rain
Show us the photographs you can only capture on a rainy day.
During the hashtag feature period from Thursday, June 25, 2026 to Wednesday, July 1, 2026, we will select several works posted with #rain and feature them in the cizucu Magazine. We look forward to your submissions.
