Mission
After sunset, even when people have disappeared from view, cities and towns remain illuminated by various forms of light. The glow from a home seeping through a gap in the curtains. Fluorescent lamps lighting up an empty station. A convenience store open late at night, or a streetlamp standing quietly along a deserted road. The theme for this Open Call is "Artificial Light." Artificial light reveals the contours of daily life, the passage of time, and the presence of others, often without directly depicting people themselves. At the same time, these lights lingering in the darkness can evoke a sense of human presence, while also intensifying feelings of absence or solitude. We invite you to submit a photograph that captures the outlines of human activity you have discovered. *Submissions that violate our guidelines ( https://www.cizucu.com/terms/guideline ) will not be considered by the curatorial jury. *Winners may be contacted by the cizucu team to provide personal information such as their address.
