On June 12, 2025, Fujifilm Corporation announced the new mirrorless camera, FUJIFILM X-E5. The release is scheduled for August of the same year, marking a significant evolution from its predecessor, the X-E4.

While maintaining the rangefinder-style design, the X-E5 combines a boldly crafted aluminum exterior with the latest photography features, embodying a fusion of classic and modern aesthetics.

Premium Look with Precision-Milled Aluminum Top Plate

The X-E5 is the first in the X Series to feature a top plate crafted entirely from precision-milled aluminum. The flat top surface seamlessly connects with the curved areas around the dials, creating a cohesive, artisanal feel.

The newly added film simulation dial with a window uses an aluminum indicator plate, allowing users to register up to 20 simulations and image quality settings in FS1 to FS3. This beautiful product design balances usability and a sense of ownership as a tool.

Immersive Viewfinder Experience with 'Classic' View Mode

The EVF display introduces a new 'Classic' view mode, which limits displayed information to evoke the feel of traditional film cameras, allowing users to focus on composition and subjects. Additionally, it supports 'Surround View,' which displays areas outside the shooting frame as translucent or outlined based on the aspect ratio.

This design enhances the immersive experience through the viewfinder. The dial layout is optimized for right-hand operation, enabling intuitive shooting.

Uncompromising Image Stabilization, Autofocus, and Video Performance

The X-E5 is the first in the X-E series to feature 5-axis in-body image stabilization (up to 7.0 stops at the center). This superior stabilization performance surpasses previous models, ensuring stable shots even for nightscapes or slow shutter speeds.

The subject detection autofocus employs the latest deep learning algorithm, enabling high-precision recognition of animals, vehicles, drones, and more. Additionally, it supports 6.2K/30P 10-bit video recording and a 180-degree tiltable LCD for selfies, offering exceptional versatility for both stills and video.

Next-Generation Sensor for High-Resolution Expression

At its core, the X-E5 features the back-illuminated 40.2MP 'X-Trans CMOS 5 HR' sensor. With ISO125 as the standard sensitivity, it also supports an electronic shutter speed of up to 1/180,000 seconds.

Combined with the latest image processing engine, 'X-Processor 5,' the camera achieves an exceptional balance of high S/N ratio and resolution. The 1.4x and 2.0x digital teleconverters allow users to get closer to subjects without compromising image quality, making it suitable for a wide range of photography, from snapshots to landscapes.
