CONTEST

Mission

The horizons and verticals are not aligned. The subjects and negative space are unevenly distributed. The image may be blurred or out of focus. It may be far from polished, yet somehow it commands our attention. We sometimes encounter photographs like these. Photography offers many established principles for creating beautiful compositions. Yet by stepping slightly outside them, an ordinary scene can reveal an unexpected expression, while something overlooked can take on a mysterious presence. This edition’s theme is “Beyond Theory.” Whether intentionally created or born of chance, both approaches are welcome. When you move slightly away from the compositions you have always taken for granted, what kind of world will you see? We look forward to a photograph that captures a new perspective or discovery beyond the conventions of composition. ※Entries that violate our guidelines ( https://www.cizucu.com/terms/guideline ) will be excluded from judging. ※We may contact selected winners to request personal information, such as their address, on behalf of the cizucu team.
