Mission
Same shape, same color, same size, same orientation. As we walk outside, we sometimes find ourselves drawn to things that appear repeatedly. Rows of bicycles, sequences of windows, flocks of birds, people sitting in a line. These repeating elements, though individually small, come together, overlap, and create intervals, forming a visual rhythm in photographs, much like a beat in music. A "refrain" is a phrase that recurs in music or poetry. The theme for this Open Call is "Repetitive Elements." Whether it's a regular arrangement or a chance overlap, we invite you to submit photographic scenes that evoke the sensation of a refrain, calling out to your eye. *Submissions that violate our guidelines ( https://www.cizucu.com/terms/guideline ) will not be considered by the curatorial jury. *Selected artists may be contacted by the cizucu team to confirm personal information such as address.
