Fujifilm has released the latest firmware for five models of its mirrorless camera X series. The announcement date is June 27, 2024. The models include 'X-H2S', 'X-H2', 'X-T5', 'X-S20', and 'X100VI'.
The latest update fixes an issue where focus would shift to other subjects within the face frame during eye detection. This allows for more accurate focusing on the subject's eyes. Additionally, an issue where the camera would occasionally freeze when the shutter button was half-pressed simultaneously with AF assist light metering has been resolved.
Furthermore, a new film simulation 'REALA ACE' has been added to four models, excluding the 'X100VI'. It features rich color reproduction and beautiful contrast, expanding the possibilities of photography.
The update details for the models 'X-H2S', 'X-H2', 'X-T5', 'X-S20', and 'X100VI' are as follows.
New Mode in Film Simulation: A new 'REALA ACE' mode has been added, offering faithful color reproduction and dynamic tonal expression suitable for any subject or situation.
Improvement in Eye Detection: Fixed an issue where focus would shift to other subjects within the face frame despite detecting the eyes.
Correction of AF Assist Light Metering: Fixed an issue where the camera would occasionally freeze when the shutter button was half-pressed simultaneously with AF assist light metering.
New Mode in Film Simulation: A new 'REALA ACE' mode has been added, offering faithful color reproduction and dynamic tonal expression suitable for any subject or situation.
Improvement in Eye Detection: Fixed an issue where focus would shift to other subjects within the face frame despite detecting the eyes.
Correction during Video Shooting: Fixed an issue where black borders would occasionally appear on the sides of the display when there was significant camera shake during video shooting under the following settings.
