Kenko Tokina Co., Ltd. will launch the KC-WP06, a dustproof and waterproof outdoor digital camera featuring a front-facing monitor ideal for selfies, on July 28. The price is open, with an expected retail price of 17,490 yen (tax included).
With waterproof performance rated at IPX8 and dustproof performance at IP5X, the camera can be used at depths of up to 3.5 meters. Equipped with a wide-angle fixed lens (equivalent to 25.5mm in 35mm format) and monitors on both the front and rear, this compact digital camera is perfectly suited for self-portraits.

Video recording is supported at up to 2,688×1,520 pixels/30fps in MJPEG (AVI) format, with image stabilization to reduce camera shake. Additional features include time-lapse photography, motion detection, and slow-motion recording. When connected to a PC, the camera can also function as a webcam.
