photo poster project is a photo poster exhibition anyone can join simply by choosing a city and date. As of November 2026, it has grown to 28 cities around the world. We’re now looking for a new community manager to help us build Tokyo’s creator community.
photo poster project (ppp) is more than a photo exhibition. It’s a community where everyone can feel comfortable sharing their story and where photography brings creators together in person.
Our community staff make that space possible by looking out for every participant. Whether someone is exhibiting for the first time or catching up with friends they haven’t seen in a while, the whole team works together to create a place where everyone can be themselves.
We’re looking for a manager who can play a central role in the Tokyo community and help grow ppp with the rest of the team. No particular career background or previous experience is required. What matters most is your passion for the project and belief in what it stands for. If you love photography and meeting people, or want to support someone else’s creative expression, why not help us create new connections in Tokyo?
Selection and contact: cizucu staff will contact applicants selected for an interview through the Instagram account provided in their application.
Experience running an in-person community
Experience creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment for participants
Opportunities to work with a global team
Connections with people who share your passion for photography and creative expression
Working with the wider team and community staff, you’ll help deliver ppp in Tokyo, from preparation and event-day operations through to the post-event review.
Prepare for each event and coordinate with everyone involved
Run on-site operations and support staff on the day
Train and manage community staff
Help select venues and coordinate poster printing
Review each event and identify improvements for the next one
Depending on your interests, take part in early-stage planning and other areas of the project
(Minimum commitment: 20 hours per month. ppp events are mainly held on weekends. The exact responsibilities and working hours will be agreed together.)
Pay is based on a set fee for managing each ppp event. Any additional work will be paid either hourly or per assignment. Rates are negotiable.
You live in the Tokyo metropolitan area (required)
You’re interested in photography and creator communities
You communicate well with others and take responsibility for your work
You listen to participants and staff and want to help create a space where everyone feels comfortable
You believe problems can be solved through conversation and are willing to communicate patiently and persistently
No particular career background or previous experience is required. What matters most is your passion for the project and belief in what it stands for. Students are welcome to apply.
