Beyond every window lies a world that feels slightly different.
A room filled with morning light, city streets streaming past a train window, a landscape blurred behind raindrops, or a solitary illuminated window emerging from a building at night. Even a window we ordinarily overlook becomes a frame for composing the landscape when viewed through a camera.

Glass reveals more than the world outside; it can also layer the light and figures on our side of the pane over the scene beyond. The fascination of photographing windows lies in the way a single work can hold both “inside” and “outside,” the viewer and the viewed landscape, at once.

With this in mind, we are launching a hashtag campaign featuring #window!

The window itself does not need to be the central subject.
Consider light falling across a café windowsill, a landscape glimpsed from a train or bus, a figure seen through glass, or city reflections layered across a storefront window. The simple presence of a window can introduce distance and depth into an otherwise familiar scene.

Looking at a window from outside can also invite us to imagine the lives and moments unfolding beyond it: an illuminated room suspended in the night cityscape, a shadow visible through a curtain, or an empty shop interior. By withholding the complete scene, an image can evoke a story that extends beyond the frame.
Conversely, a photograph looking outward from inside a window preserves the perspective of the person occupying that space. A rain-streaked pane, light refracted through droplets, a view captured in transit, or morning seen from a hotel while traveling—a window quietly communicates where the photographer stood in relation to the world.

All genres are welcome, including landscape, street photography, portraiture, architecture, and travel photography.
