#1cm | Just 1cm Can Change the World | Focus #668

Even a slight change in your position can transform the meaning of a photograph.

Shifting your distance from the subject by just 1cm can change what is included or excluded from the frame. The arrangement of the background, the flow of the viewer’s gaze, the nuance of negative space—all are affected. Photography may be less about ‘big differences’ and more about the accumulation of these subtle choices.

With that in mind, we are launching a hashtag campaign with #1cm!

When we raise our cameras, we choose not only ‘what to capture’ but also ‘where to see from.’
Lowering your lens by just 1cm. Moving 1cm closer to your subject. Such a small adjustment can dramatically change the protagonist, the negative space, and the narrative of your photograph.

During the hashtag feature period from Thursday, May 14, 2026 to Wednesday, May 20, 2026, we will select several works posted with #1cm and feature them in the cizucu magazine. We invite you to submit your photographs and participate.

Try taking a step closer and re-photographing an image you captured today. Walk your usual route with your gaze lowered just a little. These small experiments can bring a new resonance to your photography.
