cizucu Presents: 'Beyond the Subject' Award Announcement | Challenge #346

'Beyond the Subject' is a global online photo contest organized by cizucu, open to any creator registered on cizucu. The contest curates outstanding submissions, aiming to discover new talent through the platform and to support the community as a whole.

This edition's theme was ‘Framing’.

Photography is a medium that captures visual information from a single moment. However, it cannot convey what happened before or after that moment, nor what lies outside the frame or beyond the visual, and this inherent incompleteness invites the viewer’s imagination.

Rather than simply enlarging the subject, you might obscure part of it, use a wide frame, or dramatically lower your point of view. The framing reveals the photographer’s intent, and a single change in framing can dramatically alter the impression of the work.

Show us a photograph that embodies your intention through its framing. By intentionally experimenting with a different approach to composition, you may discover an entirely new world.
