Moments That Move

‘Moments That Move’ is a global online photo contest presented by cizucu, open to all creators registered on cizucu. Outstanding submissions will be curated, with the aim of discovering new talent for the platform and supporting the community.

This edition’s theme is ‘What Captivates You’.

There are moments when your heart is drawn in for no apparent reason.

A light that you can’t help but follow with your eyes. An alley that inexplicably makes you pause. A color or expression that compels you to press the shutter before you even realize it.

Perhaps it’s a reflection of your aesthetic sensibility, a trigger for a distant memory, or maybe it’s an aspect of your individuality you haven’t yet recognized.

We invite you to share those moments when your heart was moved, through photography. Your image may resonate with someone else’s sense of wonder.

We look forward to your submissions.

A solitary can stands quietly, its presence amplified by the generous negative space. While it is a fragment of everyday life, it also evokes a sense of narrative. The absence of explicit meaning invites the viewer’s imagination, drawing you into its open-ended story. This image questions the very forms of beauty and allure.

A winter’s day illuminated by gentle light. The overhead perspective adds depth to the tranquil scene, imbuing it with a subtle sense of drama. Though the reason is unclear, a nostalgic warmth gently spreads throughout the image. It’s a work with a tender charm that makes you want to gaze at it endlessly.

A moment when the music played in deep shadow makes you stop in your tracks. It’s not the light, but rather the intensity of the shadows that accentuates the presence of the subject. In a fleeting instant that should have passed by, time seems to quietly stand still. Though the reason is elusive, it’s a captivating moment that draws your gaze.

A jar of jam sparkling in the soft morning light. There’s something captivating in this ordinary breakfast scene, compelling you to press the shutter. The colors, textures, even the movement of the fingers, all convey a sense of warmth. This work evokes the richness of being drawn to the subtle warmth found in everyday life.

A reflection in a puddle reveals another world within the city. The interplay of vivid neon and the ripples of water naturally draws the eye. It is the photographer’s sensibility that allows them to notice the beauty hidden in such an easily overlooked, low perspective. This image captures the allure found in the most unassuming places.
