This time, we interviewed creator daisuke.t77, who participated in the .

My name is daisuke_t77. I started carrying a camera about two and a half years ago. Inspired by photos I saw on social media, I wanted to try taking beautiful pictures myself.
Although I was initially worried about whether I would lose interest quickly since cameras are expensive, it has now become a habit to stroll around the city on weekends and take photos.
This was my second time participating in a photo exhibition. Having mostly enjoyed photography as a self-taught hobby, I was curious to know, "What kind of thoughts and enjoyment do others have when engaging with photography?"

At the same time, as a beginner enjoying photography as a hobby, I did feel that exhibitions could be a bit intimidating. However, being approached by the staff gave me the push I needed to turn my curiosity into action.
Participating was a truly inspiring experience! The creators who participated came from various generations and backgrounds, but thanks to the thoughtful staff, the exhibition maintained a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout.
It was my first time speaking about my work in front of others, which made me a bit nervous. However, as someone who has enjoyed photography as a self-taught hobby, being able to directly learn about others' passion and perspectives strengthened my desire to "expand the world of my photography."
The photo I chose for this exhibition was a sunflower I captured at Kasai Rinkai Park in the summer.
Someone who saw this photo on social media commented that it looked like the sunflower was "looking at the sky." While I usually take photos without adhering to specific rules or genres, this comment made me reflect on "what makes my work unique."
This photo became a turning point for me, as I began aiming to create works that "borrow a bit of the viewer's imagination." That's why I felt it was the perfect choice for this exhibition.
If you're even slightly interested but feeling hesitant, I encourage you to take the leap!
As a beginner who started photography as a hobby, I found the to be a truly welcoming and inspiring experience. It also provided an opportunity to deepen my thoughts about my work.
By presenting your work in the form of a poster in a public space, you'll likely discover new ways to enjoy photography and expand your perspective. Let's find the joy of capturing new photos together!
