Introduction

'Love, From Here' is a global online photo contest organized by cizucu, open to any creator registered on cizucu. The contest curates outstanding works from the submissions, aiming to discover new talent as a platform and to foster support within the community.

This edition’s theme was ‘Love Discovered Here’.

In our daily lives, there are subtle yet heartwarming moments of 'love' hidden all around us.

The warmth of someone’s hand, the gentle colors of the sky when you look up, the small sense of reassurance born in conversation.
These are feelings that are hard to put into words, but you can certainly sense that 'it’s here.'

Whether it’s time spent with a partner, family, or friends, moments of self-reflection, or even inexplicable emotional stirrings—participants expressed the 'love discovered here' through light and shadow, color and negative space.

'Love, From Here.'
Now, let us introduce the submissions and the awarded works.

The image of two people standing side by side without intersecting leaves a quiet impression on the viewer. The distance maintained while sharing the same time and place eloquently speaks to their relationship. The composition and color palette capture not only the silence and atmosphere between them but also remind us that love is not a grand gesture, but a subtle consideration woven into everyday life. The gentle afterglow of this work lingers long in the viewer’s heart.

The soft textures and overlapping colors gently evoke the calm moments that flow through daily life. The subtle sway of the fabrics and the expressions illuminated by light suggest preparations to welcome someone, or the quiet cherishing of everyday moments. Love is not a singular event, but something that quietly accumulates in the repetition of daily life. This certainty leaves a warm aftertaste in the work.

This photograph lets distance itself speak of emotion. The two figures, likely a parent and child, and the narrow path stretching between them evoke the passage of time and accumulated memories that transcend physical space. By not depicting everything explicitly, the imagination is set free, leaving only the palpable presence of 'someone there.' It is not in closeness, but in the act of quietly watching over from afar, that a quiet love seems to breathe.

The warmth of overlapping hands is directly conveyed as a sense of reassurance. The fingertips enveloping the small body embody both the unwavering strength to protect and the gentle tenderness that cherishes what is fragile. Even without words or glances, the relationship is communicated through touch alone. What is captured here is not a special moment, but the very act of 'embracing' that is repeated daily, embodying steadfast love.

Amidst inorganic textures, the sudden appearance of a heart shape captures the viewer’s attention. The outline formed by water droplets that fell by chance unintentionally becomes a symbol of 'love,' quietly highlighting the presence of emotion hidden in everyday life. It is precisely because these traces are uncontrived that they leave an honest impression. Even without being explicitly stated, it can be truly felt. This work gently presents such a form of love.

In Closing

We hope you enjoyed this feature.

Through this photo contest, we were once again reminded that 'love' is not found in extraordinary events, but quietly breathes right beside us in everyday life.

Each submission captured its own time and emotion, quietly conveying the 'love discovered here.' The editorial team was deeply moved as we viewed each work. Once again, thank you for the many submissions.

We look forward to encountering those yet-unspoken emotions and fleeting moments that stir the heart in our next photo contest!
