Winter Magic
‘Winter Magic’ is a global online photo contest presented by cizucu, open to all creators registered on cizucu. Outstanding artworks will be curated from the submissions, aiming to discover new talent through the platform and foster support within the community.
This edition’s theme is <Winter Magic>. Even the smallest moments can become extraordinary when touched by the magic of winter—ushering in a season of wonder.
For this photo contest, we invite you to capture the unique beauty and mystery of winter—be it snowflakes swirling in the cold wind, frost patterns, or landscapes illuminated by warm lights. Express those winter moments where cold and warmth, stillness and joy, intersect through your own sensibility. We look forward to submissions that evoke the colors, atmosphere, and narrative qualities unique to winter landscapes.

During winter, illuminations color the cityscape. It is said that the origin of illuminations traces back to people who, once moved by the beauty of the starry sky while walking through the forest at night, sought to recreate that scene by adorning tree branches with candles.

‘Jewelry ice’ refers to ice formed in the Tokachi River that flows out into the Pacific Ocean and washes up on the shore. These naturally occurring ice floes, enchanted by winter’s magic, are as ephemeral and beautiful as gemstones.
