Mission
Houses, skyscrapers, commercial complexes, towers, temples, shrines, cabins. Cities are home to a diverse array of architectural works, and there are said to be two ways to appreciate them. One is to focus on the intricate details of the architecture; the other is to take a step back and view the building in the context of its history and the character of its location. When you examine the details, you may discover the thoughtful touches of the architect or the refined sensibility of the artisan—moments that can truly inspire awe. Conversely, when you observe from a broader perspective, you can unravel the mysteries of why a building was constructed in a particular place and what stories the city holds. For this contest, we invite submissions that capture the details of architectural works, or photographs that reveal the profound connection between architecture, the city, and its history. The aim is to uncover the unique identity inherent in each structure, beyond simply standing in the cityscape. We encourage you to participate with the spirit of adjusting your camera's perspective—sometimes observing up close, sometimes from afar, or comparing buildings with their surroundings. We look forward to your inspiring submissions! *Submissions that violate our guidelines ( https://www.cizucu.com/terms/guideline ) will not be considered by the curatorial team. *Selected participants may be contacted by the cizucu team to confirm personal information such as address.
