"Somewhere on this Earth, morning is always beginning. We relay the morning, from longitude to longitude." Are you familiar with these lines? They are from a poem by Shuntaro Tanikawa. Inspired by Tanikawa's words, this contest invites you to submit photographs that capture the theme of "the continuity of morning"—the morning scenes unfolding before your eyes. The gentle light filtering through curtains, the silhouette of someone gazing at the sky, the steam rising from a freshly brewed coffee. What is an ordinary morning for one person may become a new story for someone else. Between people whose times, places, and even names are unknown to each other, perhaps we are all passing the morning along as we live our lives.
