When you stand before an unmoving subject with your camera, you may sense the passage of time and subtle presence emerging from the silence. Objects, though voiceless, communicate through their posture, texture, and the way they interact with light. The theme for this open call is "Still Life Photography." It may be vessels or books that accompany someone's daily life, or perhaps objects shaped by the passage of time in nature, such as rocks, shells, or wood. Still life photography is an artistic practice that seeks to uncover the stories behind inanimate subjects through careful observation.
