Mission

Even when photographing the same location or subject, the atmosphere of a photograph can change dramatically depending on the photographer. While elements such as camera choice and retouching play a role, composition is also one of the most significant factors influencing the visual impact of a photograph. The theme for this open call is "Creative Composition." With compositional techniques, even familiar and ordinary scenes can be transformed into compelling artworks. Take this opportunity to capture photographs with a focus on composition, and be sure to include a caption describing your compositional approach when submitting your work.
