Mission

“Komorebi” is a Japanese word describing sunlight filtering through the gaps between leaves, tracing patterns of light and shadow across the ground, walls, or someone’s skin. It shifts with every breath of wind, never revealing the same form twice. As you contemplate this light, the contours of familiar scenery may begin to dissolve, merging with delicate reveries or distant memories long forgotten. The theme of this contest is “Komorebi.” Light spilling through the leaves, shadows swaying in the breeze, patterns cast upon buildings, or a figure standing quietly within the light.
