Mission
Yojiya celebrates its 120th anniversary in 2024, marking a new chapter as we move beyond the long shadow of the pandemic. While many may associate Yojiya primarily with aburatorigami (oil blotting papers) and Kyoto souvenirs, we are now committed to moving beyond tourism dependency. Our ongoing initiatives include developing daily skincare items, hosting pop-up events across various prefectures, and expanding our distribution beyond Kyoto. We want people across Japan—not just those in Kyoto—to discover the allure of Yojiya's skincare products, and to incorporate them into everyday life, not just as souvenirs. In this spirit, we are launching a contest themed "Yojiya and Me." We invite you to express what "Yojiya and Me" means to you, capturing how Yojiya products seamlessly integrate into your daily life. This contest is a collaboration between Yojiya, known for creating skincare items that enrich daily routines and nurture beauty, and cizucu, the creative community and stock photo platform that helps you share your unique photographic vision. How to participate: 1. Photograph a Yojiya product you have purchased 2. In the caption, share your reason for purchasing it, and submit your photo to the contest You may submit as many works as you like. Three participants whose photographs best convey the appeal of Yojiya will receive special rewards.
