The west coast used to be always overcast— a dull grey sky, rusted warehouses, and faint memories cast in shadow. Back in high school, I never really liked this place. Now it’s been redeveloped—cleaner, brighter. And even though none of the old signs remain, I find myself lifting my camera every time I return. The breeze feels softer now.
