아마 우리가 곧 마주하게 될 가을 풍경입니다. 가을을 그다지 좋아하는 편은 아니었는데, 풍경을 즐기고 좋아하는 사람들과 함께한 기억이 늘어갈수록 가을이 좋아지게 되었습니다. 이 사진은 혼자 홋카이도를 여행했을 때 촬영한 것으로, ‘황홀하다’라는 감각을 느껴 ‘홀경(惚境)’이라 이름 붙였습니다. 촬영 중 ‘유키무시’라 불리는 벌레 때문에 꽤 고생하기도 했고, 완벽하게 세팅한 장면은 아니어서 다소 어수선해 보일 수도 있습니다. 하지만 마음의 일렁거림이 제법 담겨 있다고 생각해, 제가 좋아하는 사진 중 하나입니다. This is probably the autumn scenery we’ll soon encounter. I didn’t particularly like autumn, but as I’ve accumulated memories of enjoying the scenery and spending time with people I cherish, I’ve grown to love it. I took this photo when I traveled alone to Hokkaido, and the sense of enchantment I felt at that moment led me to name it Holgyeong (惚境), meaning “An Enchanted Realm.” I had quite a hard time dealing with a pesky insect called Yukimushi, and since the scene wasn’t perfectly staged, it may look a bit untidy. Still, I believe it captures the stirring emotions I felt at the time, which is why it is one of my favorite photographs.
