This photograph was taken in France last November. It depicts straw and a tarp found in a field. I made very minimal edits to the image, but the light on that day—softened by fog—transports us into what feels like a photography studio or an artist’s workshop from the 19th century. To me, the drapery appears almost sculptural. この写真は昨年11月にフランスで撮影されました。写っているのは、畑で見つけた藁とブルーシートです。画像にはほとんど編集を加えていませんが、その日の霧に包まれた光によって、まるで19世紀の写真スタジオや芸術家のアトリエにいるかのような感覚が生まれています。私にとって、このドレープはほとんど彫刻的に感じられます。
