ニザームッディーン廟での夕方の礼拝に紛れる女性の視線

It was my first day in Delhi and my first visit to Nizamuddin Dargah. Still overwhelmed by the city and the experiences of the day, I found myself absorbed in the atmosphere of the evening prayer. To avoid drawing attention, I photographed from the hip, trying not to disturb the worshippers around me. Only later, while reviewing the photographs, did I notice the gaze of a woman in a burqa looking directly at the camera. What fascinates me most is how her eyes seem to break away from the collective rhythm of prayer and song. Surrounded by worshippers immersed in the ceremony, that single gaze only reinforces the feeling of devotion around her.
