A few years ago, while working on a documentary photography project in a village where a 500-year-old Indian festival originated, I met this woman. During my stay, she would often visit the house where I was living, curious about my work and fascinated to see a woman photographer documenting a tradition that had been part of her community for generations. One day, she invited me to her home for a meal. We spent the day together, and she took me fishing, patiently teaching me the traditional way she had learned growing up. This portrait is a memory of that encounter of generosity, shared stories, and the quiet trust that can grow between strangers. Shot On- Canon 90D\ EFS 18-135mm
