Opposite to my hometown in Vietnam, Beppu’s peace and slow pace of life is so hard to get used to. But in that peace, people’s inner selves seem to stand out more instead of getting drowned by the chaotic noises and the bustling streets, and it’s really easy to spot too. Over the 3 years I spent here, Beppu gave me the chance to observe not only people but also myself, to understand my thoughts better. I point my lens outward to the world, to have a peek into my own.
