Ricoh Imaging Company, Ltd. has announced the launch of the new waterproof compact digital camera "WG-90" under the PENTAX brand. Designed for tough environments, it supports underwater photography up to a depth of 14 meters and macro shooting. The release is scheduled for early December 2023, with a retail price of 72,600 yen (tax included).

PENTAX WG-90 Black
The "WG-90" features robust waterproofing, supporting underwater use up to 14 meters, drop resistance from heights up to 1.6 meters, cold resistance down to minus 10 degrees Celsius, and a load-bearing structure up to 100kg. As the successor to the "WG-80," it inherits its core imaging performance.
Equipped with a variety of functions including a "Digital Microscope" mode, the camera features six LED lights around the lens for enhanced illumination. It offers an effective 16-megapixel sensor, 5x optical zoom, and approximately 7.2x digital zoom. Video recording is supported in Full HD at 30fps. Additional features include an underwater "Mermaid" mode and image stabilization functions.
