Kenko Tokina Co., Ltd. announces the SLIK carbon monopod 'S-Pole Carbon 284'. Release date is March 15, 2024. Suggested retail price is 26,400 yen (including tax).
SLIK's Latest Monopod Combining High Performance and Portability
Since the 1970s, SLIK has been offering the long-selling monopod series 'S-Pole' and 'S-Pole II'. Originally made of aluminum, a new product using carbon pipes has been developed in response to user requests.
The new monopod's full height exceeds the 1,610mm of the S-Pole II, reaching 1,955mm. The collapsed length is 630mm, the maximum pipe diameter is 28mm, and it features four leg sections. The camera mounting screw uses a 1/4-inch fine thread.
The inner pipe diameter features a rail-shaped ARS (Anti Rotation System), preventing lower section rotation and allowing smooth extension and retraction.

The monopod is useful in situations requiring quick movement and stability, such as sports and wildlife photography.
