On March 8, 2024, Ricoh Imaging Company, Ltd. announced a temporary suspension of orders for its integrated lens digital camera series, the RICOH GR III.
Despite efforts to increase production volume, demand has significantly exceeded expectations, resulting in production delays and shipment postponements for some existing orders.
The temporary suspension of orders takes effect from March 8, the date of the announcement, and orders will resume once production stabilizes, with further updates to be provided.
The RICOH GR III series, inheriting the legacy of the original film-era GR, features an APS-C sensor and a 28mm or 40mm equivalent prime lens. The series is highly regarded among street photography enthusiasts for its distinctive presence and enduring popularity.
