ILFORD, the renowned British photographic supplies manufacturer, has announced the ILFOCOLOR RAPID HALF FRAME, a disposable film camera pre-loaded with a 54-exposure ISO 400 half-frame color negative film. Domestic sales in Japan began on July 21, 2023, with a retail price of 2,750 yen (tax included).
This is the third installment in ILFORD’s series of single-use cameras with color negative film, following the launch of the ILFOCOLOR RAPID RETRO Edition in June 2021 and the ILFOCOLOR RAPID in December 2022.

The ILFOCOLOR RAPID HALF FRAME comes equipped with a 54-exposure ISO 400 half-frame color negative film. The combination of high-sensitivity film and a built-in flash ensures an excellent shooting experience, whether outdoors or in low-light indoor environments.

Featuring an optical viewfinder essential for shooting under bright sunlight, the camera is fitted with a fixed-focus wide-angle (31mm) F11 lens. The shutter speed is set at 1/125 second, allowing for photography from 1 meter to infinity. Powered by a pre-installed AAA alkaline battery, the built-in flash charges in 15 seconds, enabling bright exposures indoors or at night within a range of 1 to 3 meters.
