場所は長野県の山の中にある、小さな池です。 人の姿はほとんどなく、水面が揺れる音や木々のざわめき、鳥の声だけが静かに流れるこの場所が好きで、何度も足を運んでいます。 12月の夕方、傾いた陽の光が水面に反射し、一本の枯れ木と重なりました。 その瞬間、レンズ越しの枯れ木は火の粉をあげてキラキラと燃えているようにも、静かに生命を宿したようにも見えました。 これまでも私は、風景をそのまま記録するのではなく、その場で自分が受け取った感覚や、心の中に比喩的に立ち現れるイメージを大切にしながら写真を撮ってきました。 この一枚をきっかけに、写真は目の前の景色だけではなく、その景色と向き合うことで生まれる感覚までも写し留められるのだと、改めて感じました。
