2012年9月 この日は文化祭の出し物を撮るため、先生に無理を言ってプールを使わせてもらっていた。 毎夏の授業で使っていた場所だったが、学園ドラマやCMで見るような状況にワクワクした気持ちと、なぜかどこか少し悪いことをしているようなソワソワした気持ちが入り混じっていた。 余興発表当日は、ポーズを決めながら順番にプールに飛び込んでいくというベッタベタな演出が他の女子グループと丸被りし、会場はなんともいえない空気が流れた。 F値も構図も、写真の知識なんて何一つなかった高校三年生。 特段写真に興味があったわけではなかったが、なぜかこの景色だけは残しておかないと後悔するとあの時にそう思った。 シャワーエリアの壁に乗り、塩素のにおいを纏った生ぬるい風を受けながら、両脇を締めて一生懸命撮った。 5年前、校舎は改修されて新しくなった。 もうこの景色を誰も見ることはできない。 写真を撮る時、未来の自分から「いま撮らないと後悔するぞ」と言われているような気がするのです。 今の自分が撮りたいと思ったのではなく、未来の自分に「撮らされた」と言ったらいいのでしょうか。 もしかしたら今日の自分がこの写真を撮らせたのかもしれません。 この時の自分に改めて感謝です。 初めての作品は、初めて写真を好きになった写真にしました。
