FUJIFILM has announced the mirrorless camera 'FUJIFILM GFX100S II' with a large format sensor. Scheduled for release in June. The expected retail price is around 847,000 yen (including tax).
Equipped with a 1.02 Billion Pixel Sensor and High-Performance Image Processing Engine
The 'FUJIFILM GFX100S II' is a new model succeeding the 'GFX100S' released in February 2021. It features a 1.02 billion pixel 'GFX 102MP CMOS II' image sensor and the fifth-generation X series device 'X-Processor 5' image processing engine, promising improved processing speed over previous models.
Advanced Subject Detection AF and Continuous Shooting Features
It also features AI-powered subject detection AF that can detect animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, airplanes, and trains. With improved algorithms, the performance of face and eye AF has also been enhanced. The continuous shooting speed reaches up to approximately 7.0 frames per second, significantly surpassing the approximately 5.0 frames per second of the previous GFX100S model, allowing smoother shooting of moving subjects.
New Features and Improvements Supporting High Image Quality
The 'FUJIFILM GFX100S II' can now use ISO 80 as a standard sensitivity, enabling shooting with a wide dynamic range and low noise. It includes 20 types of film simulations, including 'REALA ACE', expanding the range of shooting options. For video recording, it supports up to 4K30P recording and includes 13+ stop 'F-log2'. It also supports recording in different video formats via memory card recording and HDMI output. Additionally, the EVF has been improved to 0.5 inches with approximately 5.76 million dots, and the battery can capture approximately 540 still images (in normal mode).
The external dimensions are 150×104.2×87.2mm, and it weighs approximately 883g, making it the lightest in the GFX series.
