RICOH Imaging has announced the 'PENTAX K-3 Mark III Monochrome 20-40 Limited Lens Kit' as part of its lineup of monochrome-only digital SLR cameras. The release date is April 25, 2024. The direct sales price is 383,000 yen (including tax).
The newly announced 'PENTAX K-3 Mark III Monochrome 20-40 Limited Lens Kit' is a kit combining the digital SLR camera 'PENTAX K-3 Mark III Monochrome', which features a monochrome-only image sensor, with the 'HD PENTAX-DA 20-40mmF2.8-4ED Limited DC WR'.
High-Resolution Photography with Monochrome-Only Image Sensor
The model based on the 'PENTAX K-3 Mark III' is equipped with an image sensor specialized for monochrome expression. It generates images with approximately 25.73 million effective pixels, equivalent to APS-C size, and achieves remarkable delicacy and gradation reproduction without a low-pass filter. Each pixel captures luminance information, directly reflecting the light information entering from the lens, enabling more delicate and high-resolution monochrome depiction.
Wide Range of Expression with Custom Image
The 'PENTAX K-3 Mark III Monochrome' is equipped with a monochrome-only custom image, realizing various monochrome expressions. In addition to standard expressions, users can choose from three styles, including 'Hard' with high contrast and low-key, and 'Soft' with low contrast and high-key. Furthermore, users can expand their range of expression by finely adjusting tone settings, key, contrast, and sharpness to suit their preferences.
