Smart device manufacturer Xiaomi has globally unveiled its flagship smartphone series, the “Xiaomi 14,” featuring camera lenses co-developed with Leica. The release date for Japan is yet to be announced. In Europe, the price is set at 1,499 euros. The top-tier model, , offers optional camera grip accessories.

High-End Performance Surpassing Premium Compact Cameras
Thanks to its collaboration with Leica, Xiaomi’s smartphones are distinguished by their advanced camera capabilities. The latest “Xiaomi 14” series upgrades from the previously featured “Summicron” lens to the even brighter “Summilux” lens.
The flagship is equipped with a 23mm wide-angle lens, a Sony 1-inch sensor, and a continuously variable aperture ranging from f/1.63 to f/4.0. Its quad-camera system covers focal lengths from 12mm to 120mm, delivering performance on par with premium compact digital cameras.
