Shoten Kobo Co., Ltd. has announced the TTArtisan interchangeable lens “500mm f/6.3 Telephoto” for Fujifilm X, Fujifilm G, Nikon F, and Canon EF mounts. The release date is March 7, 2024. The manufacturer's suggested retail price is 66,000 yen (tax included).
Bringing Distant Subjects Closer

Despite being an ultra-telephoto lens, its compact and lightweight design—measuring approximately 31cm in length and weighing about 1.6kg—enables agile shooting. The optical construction consists of 8 elements in 5 groups, including two ED (extra-low dispersion) elements and two high-refractive elements, delivering high image quality while suppressing coma and chromatic aberration. Additionally, both the focus ring and aperture ring are equipped with gears compatible with follow focus systems, making the lens suitable for video production as well.
