Shoten Kobo Co., Ltd. has announced the release of a rangefinder-coupled mount adapter for Leica R lenses under the SHOTEN brand, the R50 Series. The official release date is January 12, 2024, with a retail price of 29,000 JPY (tax included).

The SHOTEN R50 Series is a mount adapter designed for 50mm focal length lenses, enabling Leica R lenses to be used with M-mount rangefinder-coupled cameras.
When focusing via live view during shooting, the helicoid mechanism allows for a reduced minimum focusing distance, offering greater versatility in photographic expression. Additionally, the fine adjustment feature for the rangefinder coupling mechanism enables precise focus calibration. Brass mount components are used on both the lens and camera sides, ensuring exceptional durability.
