SAMYANG Expands Telephoto Range with V-AF 100mm T2.3 Cine AF Lens | Kenko

Kenko Tokina Co., Ltd. has announced the release of the SAMYANG V-AF 100mm T2.3 interchangeable lens. The scheduled launch date is January 26, 2024, with a retail price of 103,400 JPY (tax included).

The V-AF 100mm T2.3 is a cine AF lens compatible with Sony E-mount, supporting 35mm full-frame sensors. Designed for video creators, small-scale productions, and filmmakers, this compact and lightweight lens is optimized for video production.

The V-AF series lineup includes 24mm, 35mm, 45mm, and 75mm focal lengths, with the addition of the 100mm model bringing the total to five. All models feature a unified maximum diameter of Φ72.2mm and a consistent weight of 280g.

While the 100mm macro lens is longer than other models in the series, the center of gravity and focus ring position remain consistent, making it convenient for use with gimbals and drones. The front of the lens features an electronic connector mount, allowing for the optional V-AF Manual Focus Adapter to be attached. On the lens barrel, there is a custom switch for aperture settings and a focus hold button, as well as a tally lamp to indicate recording status.
