Polaroid has released the Polaroid I-2 Instant Camera in Europe, an instant camera that offers manual controls similar to those found on SLR cameras. The direct sales price is €699.99 (approx. 110,000 JPY), with no announcement yet regarding a release in Japan.
Polaroid, synonymous with instant cameras, is renowned for its simplicity—just press the shutter and your photograph is ready in moments, without the need to adjust settings or modes.
The newly introduced Polaroid I-2 Instant Camera is the first in the series to allow manual adjustment of aperture and shutter speed.
Six Shooting Modes
The camera features six selectable modes: Auto, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, Manual, Multiple Exposure, and Self-Timer, greatly expanding the creative possibilities for photographers.
LiDAR Sensor for Low-Light Performance
Instead of infrared autofocus, the camera is equipped with a LiDAR sensor that measures distance using reflected laser light, enabling precise focusing even in low-light environments.
The lens design involved both Japanese and Taiwanese engineers, achieving a minimum focusing distance of 0.4m at F8. The camera charges via a USB-C port. Dimensions are 149.9 × 19.3 × 91.2mm, and it weighs 1,260g.
