photo poster project | Seeing the World Through a Different Lens by Luca | ISSUE #

Held by cizucu in cities around the world, photo poster project is a photography poster exhibition that anyone can join simply by choosing a city and date.
The initiative we call ppp is more than an exhibition of photography. It is a community where everyone can share their stories with confidence, as well as an opportunity to connect with creators from around the world in person.

For this edition, we spoke with Luca, a creator who participated in photo poster project.

Hello, I’m Luca.
Amid the rush of everyday life, we can sometimes lose sight of the light within us. That is why I value taking a moment to pause.

I am drawn to the clarity and naturally breathing atmosphere I find in Japanese photographic expression, and I photograph fleeting moments from daily life while cherishing that sensibility.
I hope my work might inspire someone to notice the light that surrounds them.

The main reason I decided to participate was that I wanted to connect with other photographers.
Every person who picks up a camera has a distinct way of seeing. I wanted to discover how the world appears through someone else’s eyes.

Stepping into the exhibition space felt like seeing the landscape anew through someone else’s eyes.
It allowed me to move beyond the frameworks that had become familiar to me, offering fresh inspiration and new perspectives for my creative practice.

What captivated me most when I visited the exhibition was the story behind each individual work.

A photograph is composed of more than what is immediately visible.
Every color, composition, and subject carries the photographer’s accumulated experiences and personal narrative.

Being reminded of this was the most meaningful insight I gained from participating.

This is the work I selected for the exhibition.

I chose a work that gently gathers the light and atmosphere we might otherwise overlook in everyday life.
I hope it encourages viewers to slow their pace, if only for a moment, and see the world before them from a different perspective.

To you, who have read this far:

I believe photography is not a competition for determining who is better or worse; it is a means of recording stories.
As we gradually become more comfortable with photographic technique, perhaps what truly helps us grow is not increasingly complex technical skill, but an ever-expanding way of seeing.

Photography has shown me a world I had never noticed before.
I believe photo poster project is an ideal place for you and me to slow down for a moment and look at the world anew through our individual perspectives.
