cizucu Presents “August Diary ’26” | Challenge #394

“August Diary ’26” is a global online photography contest presented by cizucu and open to all creators registered with cizucu. By curating outstanding works from among the submissions, the contest aims to discover emerging talent through the platform and foster support through the community.

This edition’s theme is “An August Diary.”

The “Diary” series invites you to share photographs taken in your everyday life alongside the events and experiences of each day, much like keeping a diary.

A diary offers an invaluable way to document your life and experiences. Looking back allows you to view your growth and transformation objectively while gaining new insights. We encourage you to include your own story as a way of reflecting on your everyday thoughts and emotions.

August is the month when summer feels most vivid.
The blazing sunlight, the glow of festivals, the afterimages of fireworks, and the night air drifting in through an open window.
Whether an ordinary day or a journey far from home, every moment seems imbued with a slightly extraordinary warmth.

The diffused city lights and hazy silhouettes evoke the sensation of inhabiting a dream steeped in heat. Multicolored bokeh further heightens the work’s ethereal atmosphere. (4) Decisive moment: Does the work successfully capture the subject at the most compelling moment?
(5) Originality: Does the work demonstrate a distinctive approach to its setting, subject matter, or other elements?
