‘find new pieces’ is a discovery project that uncovers outstanding works from the countless submissions posted on Threads, sharing their allure through our magazine. Each edition features a specific theme, gathering works from around the world that resonate with it, allowing us to encounter new talents (new pieces) yet to be discovered.

The world is home to countless wild birds,
and surely, there have been many fleeting encounters with birds whose names we never knew.
The moments in which we can capture their presence are always brief.

The subtle movement on a branch, the flutter of wings in the wind, the instant when your eyes meet.
The wary gestures as they keep their distance, the calls to their companions—these all linger quietly in the air.

Each of these moments accumulates, and within a photograph,
the unique “distance” and “relationship” of that instant are etched.

The works submitted this time conveyed not only charm and dignified strength, but also wary glances, a sense of tension, and moments of quiet trust—each photographer’s unique “time with wild birds” was palpable.
