In 'Read Your Photography,' we focus on the narratives behind photographs—stories that cannot be encountered by simply looking. Alongside works gathered through the cizucu-hosted and social media, cizucu Magazine translates the backgrounds and unique moments behind each image into 12 languages and shares them with the world.

Choosing to keep a story close to your heart is one option. Yet, those feelings may quietly touch someone else’s heart and inspire new, unseen emotions.

This time, we are introducing the works of five artists from around the world.
Now, let’s gently peek into these one-of-a-kind stories.

While everyone else moved forward, I stopped and raised my camera.
The city bustled by, everyone rushing to their destinations.

The neon lights and scents were nothing more than the backdrop of daily life for most people.
But the moment I looked through the viewfinder, the world fell silent, and only the instant I wanted to see remained.
That is the choice of the photographer.

Going against the flow, stopping, looking up, crouching down—
I search for the “truths worth preserving” hidden in places no one notices.

The city will continue to thrive, and people will keep walking.
But for that moment, it was certainly captured within the photograph.

Photographers are not different from others—
they are simply looking at things no one else has seen yet.

cizucu Editorial Team
The image of someone stopping alone amidst the city’s hustle and raising their camera is striking. For many, neon lights, signs, and the flow of people are just part of the everyday scenery. Yet, to the photographer’s eye, that fleeting moment becomes a scene worth preserving. The instant you look through the viewfinder, the hectic world quiets, and the truth you alone have found comes into focus. Perhaps to photograph is to discover your own story within the overlooked moments of daily life.

Every hectic day feels like an endless wave.
Sometimes, I am overwhelmed by a surge of emotions and can no longer support myself.

Whenever such inescapable sadness washes over me, I look up at the sky.
The sunset is like a salvation to me, gently illuminating the darkness,
and giving me the strength to quietly endure and overcome difficult times.

Throughout the years, sunsets have always calmed my heart.
My worries dissolve into gentle waves, and my sadness disappears with the sea breeze.
All my emotions sink into the sea along with the setting sun.

I captured this moment in a photograph because I wanted to share it with you, no matter what kind of days you are living.
I hope that light will shine into your life again, and that each of us can move toward the place we desire.
And may our light someday illuminate the path ahead.

This work evokes a sense of quietly accepting and gradually letting go of overwhelming emotions. The vast sea and gentle sunset seem to embrace sorrow and anxiety, carrying them far away. Within the fading light, there is a wish that brightness will return even after difficult days. Through this photograph, it gently accompanies the viewer’s heart.

It was a beautiful day, and I was taking a walk at the large temple near my home.
Usually, I encounter many interesting scenes there, but that day, for a while, I found nothing.

But on my way back, I came across a grandfather and his granddaughter.
As I watched them for a while, the way the grandfather gently helped his granddaughter put on a protective amulet was so natural and warm that I captured the moment in a photograph.

cizucu Editorial Team
This work captures the warmth that suddenly appears in everyday life. On the way home, after finding nothing, the encounter between the grandfather and granddaughter stands out. The natural distance between them and the gentle gesture of putting on the amulet convey a deep affection that needs no words. This small moment of prayer, exchanged in front of the large temple, is gently preserved within the photograph.
