Sometimes, the beauty of everyday life reveals itself in unexpected moments. And those fleeting instants can become eternal memories.
That day, I simply intended to photograph the rice fields. Suddenly, a small, adorable presence darted into the frame, and I instinctively pressed the shutter. With that child’s arrival, the landscape felt even more special.
Watching them gaze up at the sky made me realize that, amidst the busyness of daily life, we must not forget to pause and appreciate the beauty of the sky and the world.
The world is vast, and within it, I want to remain true to my authentic self.

The golden rice stalks and the unexpected appearance of a small life—this serendipitous encounter and the sense of distance at which it was "discovered" are the photograph’s greatest allure. On that night at the Taipei Lantern Festival, the flow of people and the glow of the lights blended together, creating a warm atmosphere. Amidst the flickering scenes of light and shadow, his figure suddenly caught my eye.
He leaned forward slightly, resting his arms on the railing, quietly watching the children riding the carousel. The bulbs tracing circles seemed to gently repeat the passage of time itself.
Laughter melted into the night air, sometimes fading, sometimes drawing near. Yet his expression remained unchanged. What was present was not exaggerated, but a deep, quiet contentment. He wasn’t just "watching"—it seemed as if he, too, was immersed in that happiness.
Whether the child was family, I do not know. Still, his gaze held a protective tenderness, pride, and a gentle distance that wished not to intrude.
It was as if he was gently tracing the contours of happiness, confirming its presence. People continued to come and go, lights shimmered all around. Yet, in that moment, only the "relationship of watching" quietly surfaced. What was recorded was not the festival scene, but an emotion beyond words.
Happiness is not something only shouted in the midst of noise. It quietly resides in these small, certain glances as well.

The deep blue of the sea and sky merged into one, creating a vast world where a child could freely embark on adventures.
The float left on the edge of the sand and the quietly standing elderly man seemed, almost like a parent, to be a presence that would always watch over from behind.

The composition, with a wide expanse of sky and sea, first invites you to breathe. The red and white pole and the float standing on the right of the frame are striking, almost like symbols, yet the solitary figure sitting quietly in front brings everything back to reality. Choosing a moment when the sounds of the lively beach recede is beautiful. The solitude placed within this vastness remains not as loneliness, but as a certain sense of reassurance.

This image was taken the day after last year’s (2025) Balloon Festival at Houli Environmental Park in Taichung. The sky that day was endlessly vast, with a strikingly clear blue. Many families visited the park, and among them, I happened upon this heartwarming moment.
At an age when the word "stress" is still unknown, an orange kite and the undulating grass were all the world the children needed.
The older brother taught how to run with the wind, while the younger laughed heartily each time the kite fell. In such unremarkable moments, the bond between siblings is naturally nurtured.
The importance of competition, cooperation, and sharing may not be learned in the classroom, but rather in these moments of "chasing the wind."
No matter how far the kite flies, there is always someone beside you to share laughter. This photograph quietly preserves those memories of brotherhood.

As usual, I was out shooting street snaps. At that moment, the light of the setting sun and the reflections on the ground overlapped beautifully, and a girl ran past me.
Seeing that scene, an image immediately formed in my mind. Without hesitation, I grabbed my Nikon Zf and took several shots in quick succession. Looking back later, I found one frame where both her feet were off the ground as she ran.
If I hadn’t left the house that day, if I hadn’t brought my camera, if I hadn’t taken that street, and if I hadn’t crossed paths with that girl, this photograph might never have existed.
Photography may seem like a matter of chance, but I believe it is also guided by a kind of destiny.

The backlight of dusk paints the city’s outlines in black, highlighting the act of "running" with striking clarity. The elongated shadow seems like a line connecting the present speed to a future just ahead. Dramatic, yet refreshingly free of excessive explanation for the viewer.
