The photo poster project, organized by cizucu and held in cities worldwide, is an exhibition of photo posters that anyone can join simply by selecting a city and date.
What we call the ppp is more than just a photography exhibition. It is a community where everyone can confidently share their own stories, and a unique opportunity to connect with creators from across the globe in real life.
This time, we spoke with the creator Ryo, who participated in the photo poster project.
My name is Ryo Suzuki, and I am engaged in photography in Fukushima.
On a daily basis, I capture the landscapes and everyday life of Fukushima as a hobby, and professionally, I photograph people.
I was invited by a member of the staff.
At first, I was anxious because I had never participated in an exhibition like this before and didn’t know what to expect, but the staff’s approach was extremely thoughtful, and their passion for the event came through, which convinced me to take part.
Honestly, I was initially "anxious because it was my first time and I didn’t know what to expect."
However, the staff’s truly attentive communication and the way their enthusiasm for the event came across made me feel, "This might be the right place for me," which was a decisive factor.
First of all, I was deeply impressed by how considerate the staff were and how much effort they put into creating a welcoming atmosphere!
Also, all the other exhibitors were genuinely kind and wonderful, and I felt that this ideal environment was made possible by the vision behind the photo poster project.
Thanks to everyone, it turned out to be a truly fulfilling day! Thank you so much!
Throughout my time at the exhibition space, I felt warmly welcomed. It made me realize once again that this is what a truly comfortable atmosphere means to me.
I selected a vertical photograph I took that I felt would brighten up the space the most!
For me, this was the one photograph that made me feel, "With this image, I might be able to brighten up the space a little." I wanted to choose a work that, when displayed on the wall as part of the exhibition, would gently lighten the atmosphere of the room.
I can guarantee it will be a fun and fulfilling day!
If you are on the fence, I strongly encourage you to participate!!
I myself was hesitant at first, but looking back, I can say without a doubt that I’m glad I joined.
If you’re unsure, I hope you’ll take that first step!
