'dream'
Is a dream something that appears in sleep,
or is it a light that shines toward an unseen tomorrow?
Perhaps it is neither. It may be that the very boundary between the two is the true nature of a dream.
Are we awake, or is the dream still continuing?
Are we chasing it, or has it already begun?
Unfocused contours, the way light diffuses, a place that seems familiar yet unknown. Or perhaps, something formless that you gaze at with your eyes open.
What kind of moment did you capture when you pressed the shutter?
There must be a “dream” that only you can frame.

In a faded concrete labyrinth, a single red line runs quietly. Is it a boundary, or a guide for someone unseen? The stairs seem to lead nowhere, yet they are certainly heading somewhere. Like an alley you wander into in a dream—familiar, yet nameless. Stains of time seep into the walls, blurring the contours of memory and reality. When a streak of red cuts through the gray silence, you are barely reminded that "now" exists here. Even after waking, you can't shake the feeling that you're still climbing those stairs. This work leaves such an impression.

This piece quietly dissolves the boundary between reality and dreams. The figure reflected on the water's surface surely exists, yet its outline is ambiguous, as if standing in another world. The contrast of blue and shadow draws the viewer inward, gently touching memories and emotions. This work suggests that dreams are things that exist without form, yet are undeniably present.

The train keeps moving, and silence fills the carriage. Bathed in golden light, a person has fallen into a deep sleep. Are they on their way somewhere, or returning from somewhere? Their destination is left in the dream, and only the body is carried along. This defenseless, beautiful sleep is allowed only in the extraordinary state of travel. If they are dreaming, perhaps it is of a landscape at an unseen destination, or a memory of a place to which they can never return.

Within deep darkness, a single white light takes flight. Is it a bird, or the dream itself? Its outline is slightly blurred, receding the more you try to discern it. This vast darkness is not something to fear, but perhaps a vessel for dreams. The light is there—small, wavering, yet never extinguished. Whether we are chasing it or being led by it, we cannot help but be captivated by that whiteness.

Once, the fluorescent light must have illuminated the space, but now it hangs from the ceiling, drifting in midair. The decayed floor and peeling walls remain, yet white light pours straight in from the skylight. This space, where things that have fulfilled their purpose rest quietly, feels like the remnants of a dream, or the silence before a dream is born. Broken, yet beautiful. Ended, yet somehow hinting at a beginning. Perhaps a ruin is a place where time itself dreams.

The countless books scattered across the floor resemble fragments of memories or stories overflowing from the depths of consciousness. The sight of pages quietly left open evokes the ambiguous time and space that exists only in dreams. Fragments that should not connect in reality form a harmonious scene. This may be a "dream reading experience" where words and memories are reconstructed.

In a blue that seems to dissolve into the sky, a solitary figure floats. Is it up or down, standing or falling? The sense of gravity is gently released. Hair sways, eyes are closed, and consciousness seems to drift far away. If the sensation of "falling yet floating" permitted only in dreams were captured in a single photograph, it would surely look like this. The blue stretches endlessly, with no boundaries in sight.

On the cobblestones, shadows of indeterminate shape spread out. It's not immediately clear what casts them. The more you gaze, the more their outlines seem to morph into something else. Like fragments of a dream, these forms seem meaningful yet remain elusive, existing only by the angle of the light. Shadows are supposed to be cast by tangible objects, yet in this photograph, the shadows themselves take center stage. Only the remaining shapes quietly swim across the afternoon ground.

A statue of an armed soldier holds a butterfly in its palm. Flowers bloom on the helmet, and the pedestal is adorned with vibrant festival decorations. Could this be the Spanish Fallas Festival? Contradictory elements stand together as a single sculpture amid the fervor of celebration. Violence and peace, hardness and softness, enormity and delicacy. Impossible combinations that can only occur in dreams appear here under the real blue sky. Will the butterfly eventually fly away, or will it remain there forever?

The city is submerged in fog. The outlines of skyscrapers remain, but their bases are swallowed by white mist. Yet, the spires pierce through, reaching for the sky. Cities in dreams always look like this—undeniably present, yet drifting away like smoke when you try to touch them. The usually bustling city loses its sound, becoming as still as a landscape in memory. When the boundary between reality and dream dissolves, the city becomes this beautiful, as this photograph reveals.

Within the mist, figures of people emerge faintly. A child spreads their arms and runs into the white haze—an image that perfectly captures the moment of leaping into a dream. The adults stand a little apart, stopping at the edge of the fog. Only the child crosses the boundary without hesitation, because they have not yet forgotten how to dream. In this monochrome world, only the mist is soft, gently dissolving all contours. What lies beyond that whiteness?

A concrete bridge slices through the sky, with clouds drifting leisurely in the gap. The edges of this inorganic structure are quietly adorned with vivid pink flowers. The hard and the soft, the man-made and the natural—these boundaries gently blend within this single frame. Perhaps dreams dwell in such places. Something blooming in the unnoticed gaps of everyday life. If you looked up and saw such a scene, it would surely feel like a continuation of a dream.

Dreams here are not just pretty images, they are paths to travel, skies to soar, minimal lights at the end of an immense corridor. Architecture becomes a metaphor for the process, a liminal space: the darkness is the fears and those slits of light are the ideas and desires that call us from afar. What invites us to transit, always in movement towards that clarity and to the transit through new nuances: search, get lost, try again.
In the end, more than finding a perfect dream, what remains is the mark of the path traveled, the wake of that inner journey that reveals who we are when we decide to follow what our spirit yearns for.

Reaching unconsciously toward a single beam of light piercing the darkness. The distance that seems within reach yet remains elusive resembles the ambiguous sensation felt in dreams. As the boundary between reality and unreality dissolves, we continue to move as if guided by something. Is this light hope, or merely an illusion? The uncertainty that seems to vanish the moment you touch it may be the very outline of "dream" itself.
In Closing
What did you think?
The theme of "dream" takes on entirely different contours depending on the viewer. From the works submitted this time, we sensed not only vivid aspirations and exhilaration, but also the lingering aftertaste upon waking, premonitions not yet put into words, or a gaze toward something long since let go—each artist's unique relationship with dreams quietly resonated through their work.
Discovering new, unseen talents (new pieces)—that is the very role we hope to fulfill through this project, and we wish for your creative expression to become the catalyst that reaches many more hearts.
Look forward to our next theme.
